ABOUT ME
Hi! I'm Kyle, I'm a game developer and sound designer hailing from west Michigan. I am focusing in on Game Design & Composing, merging my love of grand level design with even bigger music!
I grew up in a very interesting time for both sound and game design. My first memories with games involve blasting through Halo 3 with my brother on our portable CRT TV with the resolution of a tin can. Even with these humorously limited resources I still found myself endlessly exploring these levels and ultimately trying to make my own through whatever means I had. I started out using the game's built-in forge mode to make my own maps, but eventually I realized if I wanted to tell a proper story, i would need to learn a full fledged game engine.
Sound came right along with this interest in games. I first started in Apple's Garageband DAW, but quickly upgraded to FL Studio. From middle school to college I would release on a 6 month schedule with which I never missed a deadline. In this time I would release more than 10 albums & EPs, growing from painfully mixed glorified compilations to fully fledged concept albums. I also became close friends with frequent collaborator Tommy Ryan, to which we would collaborate on D/Form's Point 1 & 2, as well Sound Psychologist's Litmus which was released on Detroit Underground. I would continue to learn and hone my audio skills for years before I eventually made it to the Savannah College of Art & Design, where I majored in game development, and minored in sound editing.
Post-college, I joined the online netlabel Aural Alliance, and have continued to release music both collaberatively and Independantly. Recently, I have been building a new game project, but that is only for those close enough for playtests!
