GAME ART

Art is the life blood of any game. One can have the best mechanics and the best sounds ever put to the screen, but artwork is what elevates a game from an interactive piece of media to a true work of art.

BREAKNECK

I was the lead modeller on BREAKNECK, and so I had my hands in much of the level. I helped design and model most of the bespoke models for the game, from skyscrapers to the ships to the tracks they drive on. In many cases I also helped design active materials for objects that needed them, such as our tracks, which have moving arrows to guide the player along the track. As is represented in the gallery, I was involved at every level of the game's artwork & design.

MR-X

The MR-X was initially designed as a retro-modern race car based on the Toyota MR2, what was and still is my daily driver. I took the classic 80's wedge styling and flared the arches dramatically, created wide air ducts for the larger engine to breath. Added an LMP1 style rear wing, and a diffuser inspired by that on the real life C8.R race car. This was an immensely fun project, and a good showcase of what I love about cars!
